Ahoy!
All TRITON Boaters, Buyers
BELTON, Texas - Rick Cayton, the top hand at Texas Boat World in Harker Heights, has plans for a TRITON owner's roundup at the 2003 "World of Boating" Show in the Bell County Expo Center. The Triton brand is on several critters hereabouts. Cayton, a Triton dealer, will launch the big three-day show, January 17-19, with an opening night party. He's inviting Triton boaters and "wantabe" owners to see the 2003 lineup of bass boats and meet Earl Bentz, the designer of Triton's high-performance hulls. Bentz, president of TRITON Boats of Ashland City, TN, and national spokesman Ray Scott, the founder of the Bass Anglers Sportsman Society (B.A.S.S.), will be on hand for the 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. party on January 17th. "We're going to kick back, party and have a good time," said Cayton. The Texas Boat World's area in the Expo Center will be riding high with a rockin' live band and Texas-style bar-b-que. "We're expecting a big turnout of Triton owners," said Cayton. "Owning a Triton is one thing, but knowing the Triton owner, Earl Bentz, is a special time." Bentz and Scott are icons in today's sport of modern bass fishing. A former world champion boat racer, the Bentz-designed Vortex hull delivers an incredibly smooth, dry ride and entirely wood-free with 100 percent composite construction. Bentz points to the "flagship" of the fleet, the limited edition Triton Citgo BASS Masters Classic special, the same package the top pros are equipped with in the world championship of bass fishing. From Bentz's perspective, the "bass boat of a lifetime." The special Classic package and markings are available in Triton models from 19 to 22 feet for 2003. "The Triton Classic edition captures all the excitement and prestige of the world's premier fishing event, the BASS Masters Classic," says Rick Cayton. "Come to where you hear the band playing and see for yourself," invites Cayton, "and talk bass boating with Earl Bentz and Ray Scott." Scott, in 1967, launched the bass boating and tournament craze with his All-American Invitational Tournament at Beaver Lake, Arkansas. His Bass Anglers Sportsman Society (B.A.S.S.) lured over 650,000 members into the sport and Scott created the BASS Masters Classic in 1971 to showcase the sport's best anglers in the "Test of the Best." "Today's modern bass boat," says Scott, "is the product of the Bassmaster Tournament Trail, a proving ground for innovations and boating safety. At Triton, Earl Bentz has put it all together in the special Classic rig." Scott, as president of Ray Scott Outdoors, Inc., a marketing-consulting group, based in Pintlala, Alabama, serves as promotional spokesman for TRITON Boats, Mercury Outboards, MotorGuide Trolling Motors, SOSPENDERS inflatable life vests, and U. S. Reel of St. Louis, MO., a new lightweight, spinning reel with an oversize line spool to increase casting distance and performance. For more information on the "World of
