Scott’s Sportackle™ Rod Details
The anglers provided the feedback and Ray Scott listened.
Now, by popular demand, Ray Scott presents his Sportackle™ rod in either a
single unit or two-piece 6-foot 9-inch model. As before, the rods are not
available at retail stores, in catalogs or door to door.
This
revolutionary high-modulus graphite rod is available exclusively from Ray
Scott Outdoors, Inc. Each rod is custom-built with perfect balance,
ultra-sensitivity, a strong butt section and tip taper for
flick-of-the-wrist casting. Weighing just over two ounces, the new
two-piece fishes like a one-piece rod. In fact, as one pro angler
commented, if he had not seen the rod put together, he would never have
known it was a two-piece rod.

Scott SuperCaster 225™ from U.S. Reel™
Introducing the next generation of spinning reels — the world’s first
lightweight spinning reel with a large diam-eter spool. Weighing only 8.0
(or 8.6 ounces depending on the spool used) the Ray Scott SuperCaster 225™
from U.S. Reel™ is lighter than many reels designed for light lines, yet
is tough enough to take the worst tournament punishment with lines up to
15 pound test.

When
fishing lighter lines you’ll see longer casts, less line twist and lower
line memory than any other reel designed for light lines on the market.
That alone should be worth adding the SuperCaster™ to your arsenal.
When
fishing heavier lines, you might wonder how you ever got along without it.
That’s because it is no longer necessary to wrestle with a heavy
saltwater-like reel. The super light weight of the SuperCaster™ makes it the
best choice for, say, pitching a 1/16 oz tube on 14 pound test into heavy cover.
Lightweight
. . . But Tough.
Don’t
let the light weight of the reel body fool you. Light can be tough, too. This aircraft-grade
carbon fiber — costing 10 times
more than graphite — is much stron-ger than graphite and even stronger than
some metals.
“The
lightweight, large diameter spool concept
will
revolutionize spinning reels”
